Time for another installment of Inspring Colors & Prints. If you’ve been following along, you know I love abstract art and have taken up painting as a way to let the creative juices flow. If you’re looking for some bright prints to spice up your closet, here are some recent faves of mine. While some are a bit on the bright side, I think that with the right neutral and dark tones, you can incorporate them into your Winter wardrobe.

This week has been rather bleek. My mood needs a pick me up so I decided to mix in some color into this weeks post. It’s been so hard. We really miss our pup Bentley. I know he’s in a better place and he lived a full and lovely life, but my heart still aches for him. Hopefully in time I can comfort in his memories, but for now my heart does not feel whole. The bright lines and patterns from my Pinterest board did lend a little smile, so I’m hoping they’ll do the same for you all as well.

Dorothy Perkins Taupe and Black Tribal Print Dress

I’m Back! NYC was super duper amazing and the BF absolutely loved it, he did not want to come home. We missed little Lucius Bear, but I think we could’ve stayed a few extra days and it would’ve been okay. I’ll make sure to post some pictures I took with the Ollo Clip the BF got for me while we were out there.

Now, on to this dress from Dorothy Perkins…I am obsessed with this Taupe and Black Tribal Maxi Dress! And I mean, for only $57 it is a super steal. I’m a huge fan of maxi’s because you can so easily dress them up with wedges and some fab jewelry for date night, or you can add some flat sandals and panama hat for a day of brunching by the beach. So many endless possibilities!

The painting hobby has yet to subside, so to further encourage the creative juices I had to create a board on Pinterest dedicated to inspring prints and colors. So far, these have been some of my favorite photos and have inspired many a late night painting session. I’ve been pinning it all, whether it’s a bathing suit or napkin, any color or print goes!

The Maxi Skirt

For CK and I the maxi skirt is an essential year round staple. Whether it’s jersey, chiffon or silk, a maxi dress can easily be dressed up or down, making it the perfect Spring and Summer staple. I’d love to get the Rick Owens maxi to show some leg, but its price point is a little steep. Hopefully I can snag one before Summer for much, much less. xoxo-Bettina

Motivated and Inspired, these two words pretty much sum up how I have felt the last 7 days. We recently launched our new service to our sales team, and I could not be more pleased with the reception we’ve received thus far. I’ll make sure to share some more details as soon as we are completed with the service’s new website! I have been carrying over some of the same planning and structural methodologies I used to execute the launch of our new website to get this blog where I want it to be. Photo #1 in this round-up will be my ongoing mantra for the rest of 2012!
