Can y’all believe it’s almost 2013?!?! Recently I’ve taken to using the phrase “game changer” whenever I can (note: this doesn’t amuse the Fiance). I mean there’s nothing better than buying or partaking in an activity that leaves you completely speechless and utterly happy. So I thought, why not create a post featuring some of 2012′s best game changers!
What is a game changer you ask? Well, it’s anything that you cannot live without after you’ve used it and incredibly enhances your quality of life. Basically it’s anything that makes your heart skip that big beat!
CK and I both had quite a few, but I was able to dwindle it down to 6. At first this started as a silly post, but then I realized that it was much more serious than I had originally thought as most of these items are either used daily or are severely missed if they’re not. I know, I know a bit dramatic, but I just can’t help myself they’re GAME CHANGERS!
This lens has helped take our outfit photos to a whole another level. You’re able to capture incredibly clear and crisp photos without having very much experience with a DSLR. It’s a great lens for any blogger to add to their initial kit, because you’re able to capture both great portraits and lifestyle stills.
I’m sure you’ve heard people say, “Why would you get a mini? They’re not that much bigger than an iPhone?” Well these people must a) not mind carrying extra weight around or b) have large hands, because I have an OG first generation iPad and that thing never went anywhere with me. I don’t want to sound spoiled, but it was heavy and difficult for me to type on. With the mini, when I split the keyboard I’m able to hold and type at the same time: MAJOR GAME CHANGER! Now that I have a mini I would definitely recommend getting one with Wi-Fi and Carrier capabilities because you will be using it heavily when you’re out and about.
I love everything about this face cream. It smells fresh, hydrates beautifully and doesn’t leave a greasy film on your skin. I have difficulty with creams because I get oily in certain places on my face and dry on others, and this Chanel cream does a beautiful job at helping to balance my skin. Trust me, it’s worth the higher price tag.
Go to the nearest MAC counter and try this lip color on. The End. You will know why it’s a game changer.
CK and I have both been using Philosophy products for a while now, and the Purity face wash is ALWAYS in the picture. It’s affordable and does a great job at removing make-up and helping in the removal of flaky dead dry skin. It’s worth paying the extra $10 to $15 to upgrade from a drugstore brand, because it lasts. A little goes a long way.
Number Six: CK Moves to NYC
Live your DREAMS. That’s all we can say. CK fulfilled her life long dreams and moved to the Big Apple and never looked back. Whatever happens from now on doesn’t matter, because she took a risk and will have no regrets. And in my opinion I think that’s something (I) we can all start doing a little more of.
I was tempted to add BK gets engaged as lucky number 7, but then stopped short and decided to save this little gem and mix it in with the bombardment of BK is getting married in 2013 posts. So get ready, because I will be asking you all for your lovely opinions on this little shindig.
I hope you all have an amazing NYE because remember: it ALWAYS gets better with EVERY year that passes! XOXO – BK
