Lately Pinterest has served as so much more than just a virtual pin board I’ve filled with new looks I want to try or inspirational homes, I’ve found myself pinning more and more photos that evoke the ability to depict an emotion in a way words cannot. I find myself digging deeper and deeper, following links through to more and more pages and scouring for images that make me feel in a way that is almost haunting. And, I mean haunting in the best way possible. You know that haunting feeling, it starts in the pit of your stomach when you hear someone sing, and it surges through you and you can’t help but lift your hand up because you know what you’ve heard is hand to God. It transfixes you. That is exactly what these images do to me.
And upon finding these images by Cirse 8 and flipping through the sets, the lyrics from Coldplay’s Fix You started playing in my mind.
Lights will guide you home | And ignite your bones | And I will try to fix you
What a great post! I love the quality of images you get on Pinterest. These days I’m always finding myself browsing for exotic places to visit. One can always dream.
